CHINESE BLUE AND WHITE PORCELAIN GINGER JAR - Ca. AD 1800 - 1900. A blue and white ginger jar of globular form with a short neck and cover, glazed in rich cobalt blue with alternating panels enclosing scenes of the Hundred Antiques - including scholarly implements such as scrolls, incense burners, vases, ruyi sceptres, and brush pots - set against a deep blue ground scattered with stylised prunus blossoms. The cover is similarly decorated with blossoms and a central medallion. Size: 250mm x 230mm; Weight: 3.11kg. Provenance: Private London collection.
