BYZANTINE HIGH KARAT GOLD CROSS WITH CABOCHONS - Ca. AD 600 . A gold cross pendant formed of four oval arms, joined at a central roundel. Each arm is bordered with fine granules and set with a central garnet cabochon flanked by small glass insets. The central roundel is mounted with a domed rock crystal cabochon, encircled by four granulated gold spheres.
