BYZANTINE HIGH KARAT GOLD CROSS PENDANT - Ca. AD 400 - 600. A gold cross formed of tubular arms, each decorated with evenly spaced rows of applied granules. The arms terminate in plain caps with rounded finials. At the centre, a circular box setting is bordered by a ring of granules.
