MAYAN CARVED CONTAINER - Late Classic, Ca. AD 550 - 950. A rectangular container with sloped shoulders and a short neck, carved on the wider sides with a depiction of a deity figure seated on an elevated platform, facing a smaller kneeling worshipper positioned below. The deity is shown in profile with one arm raised, addressing the figure before him.
