INCA LAPIS LAZULI CHAKANA CROSS PENDANT - Ca. AD 1400. A pendant carved from lapis lazuli in the stepped form of a chakana cross. Each of the four arms is shaped with tiered corners, forming a symmetric, cruciform shape. One side is decorated with a pattern of intersecting diagonal, vertical, and horizontal lines, while the reverse shows a simpler arrangement of linear incisions.
