MATCHED PAIR OF EARLY BYZANTINE HIGH KARAT GOLD EARRINGS WITH GLOBULES ENCIRCLING THE HOOP - Ca. AD 600 - 700. A matched pair of gold earrings, each formed from a single loop of solid gold wire, shaped with an angular profile and interrupted by a central ribbed collar with applied granules. One terminal is hooked to close through a loop at the opposite end.
