BYZANTINE GILDED BRONZE RING WITH INTAGLIO DEPICTING AN ANGEL AND CROSS - Ca. AD 300 - 400. A red carnelian intaglio engraved with a standing angel holding a staff and a cross, shown in profile with large wings. The stone is set in an oval bezel integrated into a broad, tapering bronze hoop with remnants of gilding.
