VIKING SILVER BELT HOOK WITH GRIPPING BEASTS - Ca. AD 800 - 950. A silver belt hook cast with a circular plate and a projecting terminal. The obverse is decorated with a symmetrical composition of gripping beasts entwined within an interlaced pattern, divided by vertical bands converging at a central hemispherical boss.
