RARE EGYPTIAN TURQUOISE GLAZED FAIENCE HATHOR SISTRUM - Late Period, Ca. 664 - 332 BC. A turquoise glazed faience fragment from a sistrum, modelled with the janiform head of Hathor, each face framed by a tripartite wig finely incised with parallel striations and curls at the ends. The goddess wears a broad usekh collar rendered with geometric motifs in raised relief. Above the head is a uraeus frieze, comprising rearing cobras with sun-discs, aligned atop a platform.
