EGYPTIAN WOODEN HEADREST - Old Kingdom, 6th Dynasty, Ca. 2345 - ?2181 BC. A wooden headrest comprising a stable, oval base bordered by a braided edge. Resting upon it are two stylised feet joined at the heels, from which a vertical shaft ascends.
