PHOENICIAN TERRACOTTA FIGURINE OF THE GODDESS ASTARTE - Ca. 550 - 450 BC. A hollow-moulded terracotta figurine of Astarte, depicted standing nude, with arms resting along the sides and feet positioned together. The figure has long, striated hair falling to the shoulders. Her facial features are rendered with large, almond-shaped eyes and subtle lips below a prominent nose. A large arched vent is present on the reverse.For similar see: S.
