SUPERB BRONZE GREEK CORINTHIAN HELMET - Ca. 350 BC. A very fine bronze helmet of Corinthian type hammered from a single sheet, with a domed crown, almond-shaped eye cutouts, and a prominent nose guard. A shallow ridge forms two arched lines above the eye openings and continues along the midsection. The sides flare outwards, and the rear curves into a neck guard. Nice smooth, rich brown patina. Size: 250mm x 130mm; Weight: 770g Provenance: Private UK collection, acquired on the French art market; Ex. Swiss collection 1980s. Accompanied by a French passport. This piece is accompanied by a historical report from Alessandro Neri, an international Cultural Heritage expert based in Florence, Italy.
