GANDHARAN STONE CARVING OF GARUDA ABDUCTING QUEEN KAKATI - Ca. AD 300 or later. A carved grey schist depicting the abduction scene of Queen Kakati. The anthropomorphic Garuda depicted with a curved beak, and spread wings, grasping Queen Kakati firmly in his arms. The queen is shown in captive contrapposto, her head tilted back, her right hand raised to her chest in a gesture of alarm.
