A carved sculpture depicting the Durga slaying the buffalo demon Mahishasura - a celebrated episode from Hindu mythology symbolising the victory of good over evil. The Goddess is portrayed in a dynamic posture, standing atop the buffalo demon, with multiple arms radiating around her, each hand bearing divine attributes.
