GANDHARAN STONE PANEL DEPICTING PROCESSION SCENE - Ca. AD 200 or later. A stone panel carved in deep relief, the scene depicts a procession. At left, an elephant with a rider moves forward. The elephant’s saddle cloth is rendered in cross-hatched detail. Another rider follows behind, wearing a turban and riding with reins in hand. At the far right, a standing attendant holds an offering vessel before a column surmounted by a floral motif.
