GANDHARAN BRONZE RHYTON WITH GODDESS HEAD - Ca. 100 BC - AD 200. A bronze rhyton cast with a long, arched body terminating in a protome in the form of a goddess head wearing an elaborate headdress. The opposite end flares into a conical cup with a thickened rim and an upright loop handle set at the rear. A narrow cylindrical spout extends just below the protome, and the entire vessel rests on a small foot beneath the cup.
