NEPALESE / TIBETAN BRONZE BODHISATTVA VAJRASATTVA - Ca. 19th - 20th century AD. A cast bronze figure of Vajrasattva, seated on a double-lotus pedestal, adorned with a tall five-pointed crown, ornate jewellery, and flowing scarves. The bodhisattva holds a vajra at chest level in his right hand, symbolising indestructibility and enlightened power, while the left hand rests in his lap in the gesture of meditation.
