BURMESE BRONZE SEATED BUDDHA - Ca. 19th century AD or earlier. A bronze figure of the Buddha. The Buddha is seated upright on a stepped throne with foliate reliefs, both hands raised in teaching. The robe clings closely to the body in linear folds, leaving the right shoulder bare. The face is rendered with downcast eyes beneath arched brows, a prominent nose, and a gentle smile, surmounted by an ushnisha.Size: 340mm x 95mm; Weight: 1.3kgProvenance: From a professional UK collection of Asian and Himalayan art; previously with a London gallery, ex.
