NEPALESE BRONZE STANDING PADMAPANI - Ca. 19th century AD or earlier. A bronze figure of Padmapani Avalokiteshvara. The bodhisattva stands gracefully upon a double-lotus pedestal, both hands extend downwards, his left hand holding the stem of a lotus that blooms beside his shoulder. He is richly dressed with beaded necklaces, armlets, and a tall tiara surmounted by a small seated Amitabha.
