JAVA BRONZE STANDING BODHISATTVA - Ca. 19th century AD or earlier. A finely cast bronze bodhisattva standing atop a circular lotus base, adorned with intricate jewellery including necklaces and armlets. The figure wears a tall conical crown with a diadem, backed by a large circular nimbus. Her right hand is lowered, while her left hand is held up in a reassuring pose. The serene facial features, with almond-shaped eyes and gently arched brows, convey a sense of calm divinity.
