MOCHE STIRRUP SPOUT VESSEL DEPICTING SEATED MAN - Ca. AD 300 - 500. An orange-reddish coloured pottery figural vessel with a rear stirrup-spout. Modelled in the form of a seated man with hands resting on his raised knees, his head forward. He wears a brimmed cap with faint traces of white pigment on the upper surface. The nose is sharply protruding, the eyes circular and the mouth closed. Size: 170mm x 160mm; Weight: 515g Provenance: Private UK Collection; Ex. Jack Bregman collection, NYC. Acquired prior to 1969 while in the Peace Corps. By descent to current owner. Collection # 033.
