MOCHE CLEFT LIP HEAD VESSEL - Ca. AD 500 - 800. A orange-reddish coloured pottery vessel in the form of a human head, depicting a shaman with a pronounced cleft lip, stepped jawline, and deeply incised facial scarification across the cheeks and temples. The eyes are almond-shaped and wide, with painted white sclerae, set beneath a broad twisted headband painted in white with large salmon-coloured dots. A secondary human head is sculpted at the top.
