RAMOS BLACKWARE AVIAN VESSEL - Ca. AD 1280 - 1450. A blackware pottery vessel in the form of a water bird, with a full, rounded body, an elongated neck, a small, pointed beak, stylised wings rising as lateral projections from the shoulders, and a projecting tail at the rear. The vessel is smoothly burnished, with two pairs of drilled perforations at the rim for the attachment of a lid. Size: 170mm x 180mm; Weight: 530g Provenance: Private UK Collection; Ex.
