SICAN DECORATED BLACKWARE VESSEL - Ca. AD 800 - 1200. A blackware pottery vessel with a pair of long, tapering spouts set on opposing sides of the body, joined by an arched handle with two small frogs sculpted in relief on its upper surface. The domed top of the vessel is decorated in high relief with the head of a deity, shown with a broad, fanged mouth and four projecting tentacles, surrounded by raised circular motifs.
