TWO MARSHALL ISLANDS NECKLACES - Ca. 19th century AD. A pair of traditional Marshallese shell-bead necklaces. The first is from Ebon Atoll, composed of circular, flat shell discs with a central perforation, strung along a plaited fibre cord. The second consists of a tightly strung series of reddish-orange shell discs, graduated in size, arranged on a twisted fibre cord.Size: 160-190mm x 15-20mm; Weight: 130gProvenance: Prince collection, 1990s-2014; Ex.
