EGUNGUN HEADDRESS - Ca. 20th century AD. A spherical Egungun headdress, richly decorated with motifs and enveloped in long, multicoloured leather tassels. When held, the form feels ball-like, with the tassels flowing in every direction, designed to mask the dancer and animate dramatically in motion.
