EXTRAORDINARY SCYTHIAN HIGH KARAT GOLD STAG PLAQUE - Ca. 500 - 300 BC. A gold plaque in the shape of a recumbent stag shown in profile to the left, the legs folded beneath the body and the head raised. Above the animal, two rows of coiled volutes ending in two confronting animal heads. The ground is ornamented with spiral motifs. Comes with a presentation box.
