STUNNING SCYTHIAN BRONZE AND TURQUOISE BELT FITTING DEPICTING HORNED STAG - Ca. 400 - 100 BC. A bronze belt fitting in the form of a recumbent stag with exaggerated, branching antlers extending along the back. The body is ornamented with turquoise inserts set into recessed cells at the eye, shoulder, flank, and haunch. The reverse is hollowed and fitted with attachment lugs.
