STUNNING SCYTHIAN BRONZE AND TURQUOISE BELT FITTING DEPICTING STAG - Ca. 400 - 100 BC. A bronze belt fitting cast in the form of a recumbent stag with an elongated body and stylised, branching antlers extending along the back. The body is decorated with turquoise inserts, including circular and teardrop shapes inlaid along the eye, shoulder, flank, and haunch. The reverse is hollowed and fitted with attachment lugs.
