COLLECTION OF MEROVINGIAN HIGH KARAT GOLD PENDANTS WITH CABOCHONS - Ca. AD 400 - 600. A collection of three gold pendants, each set with a central cabochon. The first is pear-shaped with an insert framed by a plain gold sheet and an applied loop for suspension. The second pendant has a similar form and is mounted with a dark red garnet, enclosed within a beaded gold border and surrounded by granules applied symmetrically.
