BYZANTINE BRONZE BELT WITH CROSSES - Ca. AD 900 - 1000. A bronze belt composed of nine interlinked openwork plaques, each centred with a cross formed by four lobed arms enclosed within a circular frame. The surface of each cross is decorated with punched concentric rings and ring-and-dot motifs. The plaques are connected by looped links. For similar see: A.
