BYZANTINE HIGH KARAT GOLD BAR-SHAPED PENDANT WITH CROSS - Ca. AD 600. A gold pendant in the form of a tubular element with two ribbed loops above and a cross motif in granulation on the central panel. The cross is composed of small gold spheres arranged symmetrically across the front, flanked by triangular granulated clusters beneath the loops. The tube is sealed at both ends and has three small projections along the base.For similar see: F. H.
