EGYPTIAN WOODEN SARCOPHAGUS MASK - Late Period, Ca. 664 - 332 BC. A carved wooden sarcophagus mask with long, tapering face and high-set brow, with white gesso surface and bold black-painted details. The eyes are outlined in extended cosmetic lines and framed by arched brows. The lips and nostrils are subtly modelled, and a flat band runs across the forehead with dowel holes on either side.
