PAIR OF EGYPTIAN FAIENCE USHABTIES - Late Period, Ca. 664 - 30 BC. A pair of faience ushabti figures, each shown mummiform with arms crossed over the chest. The one on the left is modelled in greenish faience and retains incised details of the face, hands, and agricultural implements, along with vertical columns of hieroglyphic text on the front of the body. The one on the right is rendered in bluish-grey faience with a slightly coarser texture and exhibits similar features, including a tripartite wig, false beard and faintly inscribed hieroglyphs along the legs.
