EGYPTIAN FAIENCE AMULET OF TAWERET - Roman Period, Ca. 30 BC - AD 200. A blue faience amulet of Taweret shown striding forward on an integral rectangular base. The figure has a prominent, rounded belly and pendulous breasts, with the hands resting along the sides. Her hippopotamus head is framed by a striated wig falling over the shoulders.
