COLLECTION OF EGYPTIAN FAIENCE AND STONE SCARABS - New Kingdom, Ca. 1550 - 1069 BC. A group of five faience and stone scarabs. Each amulet is oval-shaped with a domed back featuring linear and segmented detailing. The undersides of four scarabs are inscribed with hieroglyphs while one remains plain. Reviewed by Simone Musso, consultant curator for Egyptian antiquities at the Stibbert Museum, Florence, Italy, member of the Nuri Archaeological Expedition.
