COLLECTION OF EGYPTIAN FAIENCE AMULETS - Ca. 1550 - 30 BC. A collection of 10 faience amulets depicting various deities and symbolic figures. Among them are representations of Thoth, Anubis, Pataikos, and Shu, rendered in blue-green and pale faience. The group also includes two amulets of recumbent lions on rectangular plinths. Some pieces feature suspension loops for attachment. Reviewed by Simone Musso, consultant curator for Egyptian antiquities at the Stibbert Museum, Florence, Italy, member of the Nuri Archaeological Expedition.
