LARGE DAUNIAN BICHROME JUG - Ca. 550 BC. A large terracotta jug with a globular body, wide flaring mouth, and a single broad strap handle extending from the rim to the shoulder. Decorated in bichrome scheme with concentric bands, diagonally hatched zigzags, and circular motifs on a pale clay ground. Size: 235mm x 220mm; Weight: 1.11kg Provenance: Property of a central London gallery, previously acquired on the Dutch art market; previously acquired on the Belgian art market; van Houtlen, Brussels 1995.
