GREEK TANAGRA FEMALE FIGURINE - Ca. 400 - 200 BC. A terracotta statuette of a standing female figure draped in a himation over a chiton, the weight resting on the right leg, the left bent slightly at the knee. The folds of the garments are modelled in shallow relief, cascading down the body in parallel lines and gathered around the waist. Her head is gently tilted to one side, with hair arranged in a chignon. Vent hole at the back. For similar see: M.
