APULIAN XENON WARE VOTIVE KANTHAROS - Ca. 325 - 280 BC. A black-glazed kantharos with high-arched handles rising above the rim, a deep, rounded body, and a tall, flaring foot. One side is decorated with a frieze of scrolls and dotted motifs between red lines, above which runs a band of chevrons. The reverse shows a stylised branch with elongated leaves framed by linear borders and tongues on the rim.For similar see: M.
