APULIAN RED-FIGURE OLPE WITH LADY OF FASHION - Ca. 350 BC. A red-figure pottery olpe with a bulbous body, flared mouth, and single vertical handle. One side shows the head of a Lady of Fashion with a finely rendered profile, elaborate hairstyle, and added white and yellow pigment for jewellery and ornaments. The reverse bears a large palmette flanked by voluted tendrils. The area beneath and above the mouth is decorated with radiating strokes, while a wave pattern encircles the lower body.
