EARLY GREEK BRONZE IBEX WITH SUSPENDED BELLS - Ca. 800 - 600 BC. A bronze figurine of an ibex standing with legs slightly apart, the elongated body rendered with angular proportions and a short upturned tail. The head is raised and fitted with large, curved horns, each forming an arched loop, from which conical bells are suspended through pierced extensions. A separate arched suspension loop is set on the centre of the back.Size: 29.2mm x 43.9mm; Weight: 25gProvenance: Private UK collection; previously acquired on the Holland art market in the 1990s.
