BYZANTINE GOLD NIELLO RING DEPICTING A STANDING ANGEL HOLDING A PROCESSIONAL CROSS - Ca. AD 600. A circular gold bezel engraved with a nimbate and winged angel in niello, standing frontally, holding a long processional cross in the right hand and a globus cruciger in the left. The drapery is indicated in parallel grooves, and the wings are marked with small pellets.
