EARLY BYZANTINE GOLD OPENWORK CROSS PENDANT - Ca. AD 600 - 800. A gold pendant cross constructed from a vertical and transverse stem of tightly plaited wire. The crossing and four terminals are marked by globular openwork beads formed from petal-shaped elements edged with twisted filigree and embellished with small granules.
