EARLY BYZANTINE GOLD CROSS PENDANT WITH RED GARNET CABOCHON - Ca. AD 600 - 700. A gold pendant cross formed from tubular arms of circular section with domed caps topped with a single granule. A circular garnet cabochon is set at the crossing within a plain collet bordered by twisted wire.
