BYZANTINE GOLD PENDANT WITH RED GARNET CABOCHON, TURQUOISE AND DANGLES - Ca. AD 600. A gold pendant of arched form, centred by a circular red garnet cabochon in a high-collared collet set beneath a semi-circular turquoise plaque and flanked by two small applied bosses. The raised rim features a round suspension ring at the apex and lateral looped attachments at the shoulders. The lower edge bears four short chain pendants, each terminating in a dark green stone bead.
