MIGRATION PERIOD GLASS LAMP - Ca. AD 500 - 700. A Migration period glass lamp, comprised of transparent pale green glass with turquoise and opaque white threads. The vessel has a slightly averted mouth with a thickened, rounded rim. The form has a cone shape body and is a adorned with moulded threads onto the middle section of the body. Size: 265mm x 55mm; Weight: 155g. Provenance: Private London collection, acquired on the European art market pre 2000. This item has been cleared against the Art Loss Register database and comes with a confirmation letter. This piece is accompanied by a historical report from Alessandro Neri, an international Cultural Heritage expert based in Florence, Italy.
