EGYPTIAN FAIENCE FISH-SHAPED OFFERING SPOON AND ACHAEMENID EGYPTIAN BLUE COSMETIC DISH - Third Intermediate Period, Ca. 1069 - 664 BC (tilapia), Ca. 500 - 400 BC (cup). A pair of artefacts, comprising a circular cup formed from Egyptian blue with a broad lip outlined by a white inlaid band, and a fragmentary offering spoon in the form of a Tilapia nilotica carved from faience with green and brown glaze. The body is shaped as a fish on both sides, with a projecting mouth and rounded eye; one side displays incised scales, while the other is recessed.
