EGYPTIAN FAIENCE TAWERET AMULET - Late Period, Ca. 664 - 332 BC. A turquoise-blue faience amulet of Taweret standing upright on a small rectangular base. She has the head of a hippopotamus and a human-shaped body with a pregnant belly and pendulous breasts, the arms held along the sides and the legs terminating in leonine paws.
