EGYPTIAN FAIENCE BES AMULET - Late Period to Ptolemaic Period, Ca. 664 - 30 BC. A faience amulet of the dwarf-god Bes, modelled on both faces. The compact figure stands on an integral rectangular plinth with a rounded face, a rectangular torso with the arms held tight to the sides, short legs, and a tall feathered headdress.
